*Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers FREE admission to the area for the MLK weekend beginning Saturday, January 14 thru Monday, January 16, 2012. The recreation area offers visitors a quick escape from the city for hiking, boating, picnicking, camping and bicycling. Also in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Western National Parks Association Bookstore will offer a 15% discount on all bookstore items, such as books, postcards, T-shirts and/or other gifts. The bookstore is located at 601 Nevada Way, Boulder City at the park’s temporary visitor center location in park headquarters.
